MANAGEMENT TEAM

James L. DoughertyJames L. Dougherty, President & COO
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Jim Dougherty served as Director of Operations for Foxwoods Development Company, the development arm of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, and the owner and operator of Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. At Foxwoods, Jim analyzed, developed and was responsible for new gaming operations. In his role as Director of Operations, Dougherty evaluated existing gaming properties, set up new gaming operations, recruited and hired gaming operations management and formulated operating policies and procedures. Prior to joining Foxwoods, Dougherty spent 16 years of his career with the Sands Hotel & Casino and the Trump Castle Casino in Atlantic City.

Nicholas F. MolesNicholas F. Moles, Vice President, General Counsel
Nick Moles began his career in gaming as Assistant Counsel with the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Counsel for The Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City. Moles has also served as Vice President, General Counsel for a number of Atlantic City casinos since the mid-1980’s, which included the former Atlantis Casino Hotel, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. His experience in representing clients in the gaming industry ranges from the pre-opening construction phase, approval process and initial licensure of casinos to post-opening operations.


Debbie MarcheseDebbie Marchese, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Debbie Marchese began her career in gaming as Food and Beverage Cost Accountant at Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. In her 25-year career at the Tropicana, she was named Vice President of Finance and Information Technology/Chief Financial Officer in April 2001. As Vice President of Finance and IT/CFO at the Tropicana, Marchese was responsible for all Financial and IT functions which included the accounting functions related to 50 leasing tenants. While at the Tropicana, she was instrumental in implementing initiatives to improve the company’s operating profit through revenue enhancement and cost saving programs. Marchese also has extensive experience in financial and casino systems implementations, as well as marketing and operations analysis.

Ewing Cole
Ewing Cole, in practice for more than 45 years, is a nationally recognized, architecture, planning, interior design and engineering design firm of more than 350 professionals. With offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Irvine, California; Las Vegas; Nevada; Washington, D.C.; and Cleveland, Ohio, the Sports and Entertainment practice provides specialized expertise in the master planning and design of destination entertainment landmark properties for clients around the world. With projects that span from the original Meadowlands Complex near New York City to the Singapore Turfclub, the firm recently completed Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway, Zia Park Racetrack and Casino in New Mexico and Harrington Raceway and Casino in Delaware and Citizens Bank Park. In addition to the Foxwoods Philadelphia Casino, Ewing Cole is designing a new gaming and entertainment property in Calgary, Alberta, called Cross Iron, a new 4,000-seat theater for Live Nation in Canada and a new football stadium for the New York Giants and New York Jets.

Friedmutter Group Architectural and Design Studios provide master planning, architecture, interior and exterior design, graphics and branding to the hospitality industry. Friedmutter Group was founded in 1992 and now employs over 200 design professionals.
