Construction Phase Vendors

Thank you for your interest in working as a construction vendor on the $1 billion Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia project. The project will move forward in three phases. The following is some helpful information about becoming a construction phase vendor:

  • What are the eligibility criteria for construction phase vendors?

There are three criteria for any business interested in working as a vendor during the construction phase. All businesses must be union-affiliated, competent and capable bidders and able to complete the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's vendor registration or certification process.

  • How do I start the process of becoming a vendor?

If you meet the three criteria above, the first step in becoming a vendor involves completing the Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia Vendor Application Form. Fill out and and mail the completed form to the address on the form. Subcontractors must also complete the form.

  • Who must complete the Vendor Application Form and why?

All interested businesses must complete the application form to be considered as a vendor by Foxwoods and its construction manager, even those businesses already certified as Pennsylvania gaming vendors. Subcontractors must also complete the form. All vendors must complete the form for three reasons: 1.) The contact information you provide on the form will be used to alert you about bid opportunities; 2.) The form is the first step toward completing the Commonwealth's vendor registration or certification process if not completed yet; 3.) It will also be used to determine a need for your goods or services once registered or certified.

  • What is the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Boards Registration and Certification process?

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations mandate that all casino vendors complete a registration or certification process (depending on the level of sales) to ensure a level of fitness as a business entity before being authorized to engage in commerce with a licensed casino. The Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia Vendor Application Form is the first step in that process. You cannot start bidding as a vendor, even as a subcontractor, until you have completed the process. Foxwoods encourages you to visit the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Boards website for more information on the vendor process and requirements.

  • Who will manage the construction vendor bidding and how will I know when certain contracts are put out for bids?

The project's construction manager, TN Ward, will manage all aspects of the facility construction, including the use of vendors and subcontractors. TN Ward will contact you with information regarding bid and other vendor opportunities once you have prepared and filed forms to be registered or certified as a vendor and a need for your goods or services has been determined. The information you provided on the Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia Vendor Application Form will be used to contact you. You will be contacted as the need arises for certain goods and services during all construction phases. It is your obligation to keep your contact information current with TN Ward.

  • What if I have additional questions or my contact information changes?

If your contact information changes, or you have any questions, contact Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia at 215-854-6359 (press 4 for Jim Dougherty) or email us at: FoxwoodsPA@mptn.org.

  • What about opportunities for small business or minority or women owned businesses?

Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia has a strong commitment to diversity. We are working with local organizations, such as the African-American Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber, the state and city MBE/WBE offices. We also invite you to review our diversity plan.

Small businesses and minority and women-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to learn more about the process of becoming a construction vendor. Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia and our construction partner, TN Ward, will help eligible businesses who are not yet MBE/WBE designated to complete the Commonwealth’s process for gaining designation. You can also find more information on the State website.
